Leslie Abbatiello has been an educator in Connecticut since 1991 and is currently the Director of Area Cooperative Educational Services (ACES) in Hamden. Some of Leslie's most recent work includes: development and implementation of training for educators in Abu Dhabi, UAE, as part of their New School Reform Model (in partnership with Leeds Global); co-coordinating Connecticut's Education Policy Fellowship Program; facilitating long-term strategic planning with ACES' districts; and being a faculty member for Advance Innovative Education's leadership training program, RLRP, in Baton Rouge, LA.
In addition to extensive experience facilitating the varied work of teachers and administrators, Leslie has taught English and related subjects to a diverse population of students in urban and suburban high schools. Some of her other professional experience includes teaching in Quinnipiac University's MAT program as an adjunct instructor, and consulting with Shakespeare & Company in Lenox, MA, the Bard College Institutes for Writing and Thinking, and the New Jersey Public Schools.
