Connecticut's EPFP, housed at Area Cooperative Educational Services (ACES) in Hamden, CT, serves Fellows from a variety of school districts, regional service centers, and the CT State Department of Education.
This year's theme is built around leadership development and public policy analysis, development and implementation. Emphasis is placed on developing those skills and strategies essential for initiating and sustaining viable improvement efforts at the local and state levels.
The program meets on a monthly schedule between September and May. Each seminar lasts for three hours and includes time for networking, discussions around essential questions that are related to the evening's topic, and presentations by distinguished leaders from varied fields, both public and private. |

This year's cohort also attended a National Leadership Conference, "The Politics of School”, in Baton Rouge, LA at the Cook Conference Center at LSU which was sponsored by ACES, IEL, Advance Innovation, and LSU. During their time together the group met with Tom Vander Ark, Managing Partner of Revolution Learning and Dr. Paul Pastorek, LA Sate Superintendent of Schools and discussed with them the role of politics and the strategies leaders can employ in order to implement meaningful change within their organizations. Additionally, they engaged in several hands-on activities designed to help them understand education policy at a national level and the implications for leadership.
Connecticut EPFP Coordinators
