The West Virginia Education Policy Fellowship Program (WV-EPFP) advances the knowledge base of emerging state leaders to meet the challenges of creative leadership and to effectively represent West Virginia in the national policy debate on education.
West Virginia EPFP is currently in re-development, and plans are underway to re-launch the 2011-12 cohort in Charleston for face to face, monthly seminars.
Current and potential state and local leaders are recruited from education stakeholder agencies and organizations; state elected offices, business and community sectors, and community organizations/advocacy groups.

Policy Fellows participate in state and national forums to enable these leaders to: develop and refine their leadership voice; understand, identify and expand their knowledge and skills to influence education policy making; gain access to the people, processes, and systems that shape education policy on behalf of children, families and communities; and join a state and national network of diverse policymakers, decision makers, and practitioners.
