EPFP Networking Challenge

November Challenge

Direct(ory) Connections

Did you know that all EPFP Fellows and alumni have access to the entire EPFP directory? This houses the contact information for more than 8,500 alumni in all 50 states and more than 300 current Fellows.

As a member of the EPFP community you're encouraged to use the network to connect with other EPFP Fellows and alumni in your field or state, or to reconnect with members of your cohort. The directory can be used for more than just job searching--you can reach out to folks to collaborate on projects, get to know people in a new area, or ask for expertise or advice on a topic you're interested in. You can think of EPFP as another alma mater; far more often than not, EPFP alumni are excited to meet others who have shared in the same experience and have a passion for education.

The Challenge

  • Log into the EPFP directory. The online directory is accessible from anywhere and is easy to use! Check out this handy guide to using the directory. If you've forgotten your username and/or password, you can request a reminder when you attempt to log in. The directory can be accessed from the EPFP home page by clicking on the "Directory" tab at the top of the screen.
  • Update your information. Make sure Fellows and alumni can reach out to you by checking that your contact information is up to date. The directory how-to guide provides step-by-step instructions for managing your profile. Be sure to update your information in the directory when you switch to a new position or organization, change email addresses, or move!
  • Reach out to someone! Now that you've logged into the directory, put it to use! Search for and contact at least one person in your state or field and introduce yourself. You can ask them about their organization, talk about your mutual areas of interest, or simply say hello and share EPFP memories. Chances are, you'll have plenty to talk about with another EPFP alum!
